《荆棘鸟》中主要女主人公爱情观比较

摘    要
 小说《荆棘鸟》以主人公梅吉和神父拉尔夫的爱情为主线描写了克里利一家三代的人生经历，展示了爱与命运的主题。本文选取家族中颇具代表性的三位女性：奥菲娜·克里利、梅吉·克里利和朱丝婷·克里利，首先对她们在把握自身命运过程中所体现的爱情观进行阐述，展现在特定时代中女性在爱情观方面成长的历程；然后讨论三位女主人公爱情观的异同点；最后对造成她们不幸命运的根源进行分析，并且帮助读者树立科学正确的爱情观，使读者明白这样一个道理：真爱和一切美好的东西都需要付出难以想象的代价才能获得。

ABSTRACT
 
    The Thorn Birds describes the Clearly family's story over three generations and the love affairs between Meggie and Father Ralph which portray the theme of love and destiny .The thesis first follows three women: Fiona, Meggie and Justine and set forth their views of love in their fights against fates. It then elaborates the comparison of the three heroines' views of love and their interior experience of awaking and growing. At last, the thesis tries to bring the roots of female's tragedy in the novel to light. The purpose of this thesis is to help the readers develop a correct view of love and understand such a truth:the true and beauty should be attained with unimaginable cost.
