Uncle Tom’s Cabin, written by Harriet Beecher Stowe, is an influential anti-slavery novel in the world. Abraham Lincoln,the great American president who abolished the slavery, called her” the female who causes warfare” . [1] It describes uncle Tom’s miserable life which is oppressed under the slavery and reveals the ugliness of slavery.

When Uncle Tom’s Cabin is published, it soon became the second best-selling book after Bible. As it greatly pushed forward the American civil war to break out, there are many scholars having done analysis and research of many characters in Uncle Tom's Cabin.
