On the Differences Between Chinese

    Abstract:The Joy Luck Club is a first work written by Chinese American writer Amy Tan,which has received much appreciation around the world when it's released . This thesis is tried to begin with some cultural images ,that is : mahjong table, mothers and daughters, and then analyzes the the differences between Chinese and western cultures .

  摘 要：《喜福会》是美籍华裔作家谭恩美的一部成名小说，从发布之初便受到众多的好评。本文试图从《喜福会》中的几个文化意象着手，即：麻将桌、母亲和女儿，探讨中西文化的差异。
