A Comparison of Birthday Parties Between English and Chinese Culture

Abstract

There are some similarities and differences between Chinese and western culture of the Birthday party, and the form of the parties also integrates two different cultures. After careful study, we found that the differences between the two countries can be the same or can be opposite, through the analysis of the personality comparison of various countries, we can found that the westerners are relatively open and uphold their own, while Chinese are more introverted and tactful, and uphold collective. In addition, we can find that the comparison between these two cultures produces more values, such as character integrity/ long-term vision/pursuit self and collective sense of honor. Similar Birthday party pattern and different Birthday party attitudes prove that they are the product of two cultures. It is not difficult to find that the Birthday party culture is widespread and grew, because the trend of global integration is more and more obvious, although there are cultural differences, the communication between China and the west will be closer and closer.
