 摘  要
 
 唐太宗李世民不是唐王朝的开国皇帝，但他在唐王朝的开创过程中所建立的丰功伟业以及礼贤下士、招纳人才的政治作风，使他完全具备了越过其父而成为名扬千古的政治家，登上皇位时，唐太宗二十九岁，正是年富力强，思想上趋于成熟又不守旧的阶段，他曾经明确地表示他所要营造的是一个“以天下为公，无私于物，使大信行于天下”的社会，可见，在唐太宗眼中，他所要构造的是一个公平、诚信、和谐发展的社会。他不仅完成了唐朝的统一事业，在经济上力行均田，劝课农桑，缓和剥削，为以后开元的全盛时期奠定了基础；在政治上励精图治出现当时“政治修明”的局面；在军事上恢复关中十二道军府，又整顿府兵制，改天下军府为俯冲，加强了封建中央的武力，巩固了国防；在文化方面，推行“以我为主、兼容并蓄”的文化统领政策和引导方略，使唐周边地区的文明与中原文化融合，共同奏响了一曲新奇而又和谐的时代之音。这个时代创造了君主时代最和谐的社会，路不拾遗、夜不闭户从此成为理想社会的写照。唐太宗执政中君臣、君民、民族、社会文化的和谐思想，是其推行开明政策，开创“贞观盛世”的主要原因。当今对于巩固中国共产党的统治地位，促进社会主义社会全面的、和谐的稳定与发展等方面都具有重要的现实借鉴意义。
