上海吸引外资银行总部的优势分析

摘    要

      2006年是中国入世过渡期最后一年，中国政府必须全面履行入世协定。随着外资银行在中国设立银行的地域和业务限制被取消。外资银行为了在中国抢占商机，纷纷在上海建立中国区域的银行总部。
上海由于其在近代就是外资银行集中分布的区域，随着改革开放和入世5年中的探索，外资银行几乎都选择上海作为设立总部的地点。
本文认为外资银行总部选择上海主要是因为近代上海是中国政府被迫开放的最早的港口之一，客观上刺激了上海资本主义经济的发展和发达的港口贸易，而现代上海不仅有良好的区位优势，发达的对外贸易还有比较完善的信息化基础设施。为此，本文认为应该采取一些措施，规避上海的不足，以便吸引更多的外资银行总部落户上海。

Abstract

2006 is the last year of transitional period of China’s entering into WTO. The government has to fulfill the agreement on access to WTO. The regional and operational restriction for the foreign capital banks will be abolished completely. In order to make full use of the opportunity, many foreign capital banks are establishing their headquarters in Shanghai.
Shanghai acted as the district where the foreign-capital banks went together in contemporary  times. And with the reform and opening up policy and the 5 years’ explorations after China’s entering into WTO, the foreign capital banks nearly all choose Shanghai as the right place for their headquarters.
The paper mainly analyzes the causes of the phenomena from both the historical and realistic respective. In history, Shanghai was one of the developing cities which opened earliest and many famous banks were located here. In modern times , the advantages of Shanghai come from its good regional advantage, high amount of import and export products and well-equipped infrastructure .
Furthermore ,on the base of the analysis of the disadvantages, the right measurements will be raised to attract more foreign capital banks to locate their headquarters in Shanghai .
